Most likely; if your app is created by a company that creates other, similar looking apps.
According to Apple App Store’s new guidelines 4.2.6, “Apps created from a commercialized template or app generation service will be rejected.” What does that actually mean? It means that Apple has the right to reject or remove your practice app created from a commercialized template or app generation service. Simply put, white label practice apps created by companies who build multiple, similar looking practice apps will likely be rejected from this point forward (click here for more information).
If you are a current VitusVet client, does this impact your practice or your clients? Thankfully, no! We do not use a commercialized template or app submission service. In fact, the reason we have always had one app versus multiple templated apps (one for each practice) is to ensure your clients get the seamless user experience they deserve.
If you have a “custom” app and you are still not sure what this means for your practice, we would love to hear from you and are happy to answer your questions. Simply email us at info@vitusvet.com.
